MacBook Pro Gets iPhone's Dynamic Island
25 Feb
Summary
- MacBook Pro will feature Dynamic Island like iPhones.
- New models boast a smaller Dynamic Island than iPhones.
- Mac UI will adapt dynamically for touch and click.

This fall, Apple is set to release new OLED touchscreen MacBook Pros, featuring the Dynamic Island, a technology previously exclusive to iPhones. This adaptive interface element, first seen on the iPhone 14 Pro models, will debut on the larger 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros.
The Dynamic Island on the MacBook Pro is expected to be a more compact version than what is currently available on iPhones. Apple is simultaneously revamping the Mac's user interface to better accommodate touch input and traditional point-and-click navigation.
This evolution means the interface will dynamically adjust. For instance, when users interact with buttons, new contextual menus will appear around their fingertips, providing more relevant options tailored for touch interactions.
