As of March 10, 2026, wait times for Apple's newly announced MacBook Neo have extended significantly, with most US orders facing delays of at least a week. The budget-friendly laptop, which officially releases on March 11, is proving highly popular.
Specific delivery estimates vary by configuration. For instance, the 512GB Silver model offers the quickest delivery, estimated between six to eight days. However, other 512GB variants and the 256GB Blush and Citrus models will take between two to three weeks to arrive. The 256GB Indigo model is expected between one to two weeks, while the Silver version could take up to three weeks.
Early indications from Geekbench benchmark scores suggest the MacBook Neo, powered by the A18 Pro chip, may offer performance exceeding the M1 MacBook Air. It achieved a single-core score of 3,461 and a multi-core score of 8,668, both higher than the M1 Air's scores. However, its metal scores were lower.
The MacBook Neo starts at $599 for the 8GB RAM version. A $699 configuration includes 512GB of storage and a Touch ID fingerprint scanner. Apple's M5 MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models with M5 Max and Max Pro chips are also being released.
