Summary
- Luna Ring becomes the first wearable allowing voice input for health data.
- AI engine powered by Gemini, compatible with Siri, understands user context.
- Unlike competitors, Luna Ring is available without a subscription fee.

Luna has launched the Luna Ring Gen 2, marking a significant advancement in wearable technology by introducing voice interaction. This innovation allows users to verbally log various health-related activities and information, such as meals, supplements, or exercise routines. The ring's AI engine, LifeOS, which is compatible with Siri and powered by Gemini, processes this voice input.
This new functionality means users no longer need to manually input data through an app, providing a more seamless experience. The Luna Ring aims to understand the context of users' health by linking daily behaviors with biometric data. It can also respond to health-related questions.
Notably, the Luna Ring does not require a subscription fee, distinguishing it from many competitors in the smart ring market. The device is priced at $329 but is currently unavailable in the US due to a patent dispute filed by Oura against Samsung, Reebok, Zepp Health, and Nexxbase (Luna's owner) in November 2025. Nexxbase agreed to voluntarily refrain from selling in the US as of January 8, 2026.
