Logitech Hacked, Cybercriminals Claim Stolen Customer Data

On November 18, 2025, it was revealed that Logitech, a prominent manufacturer of computer peripherals, has fallen victim to a data breach. Hackers were able to infiltrate a third-party software platform that was hosting the company's customer information, resulting in the theft of sensitive data.

According to Logitech, the stolen data likely included limited details about employees, consumers, and the company's customers and suppliers. However, the firm has assured that no sensitive personal information, such as national ID numbers or credit card details, was stored in the impacted IT system. The breach has not affected Logitech's products, business operations, or manufacturing capabilities.

The incident came to light after the Russia-linked ransomware gang "CL0P" claimed to have stolen data from Logitech earlier this month. The cybercriminal group accused the company of ignoring customer security. CL0P appears to have targeted a previously unknown vulnerability in Oracle's business software, enabling them to breach several companies, including The Washington Post, starting in early August. The gang then attempted to extort Logitech by threatening to leak the stolen data unless the company paid a ransom, and has since followed through on that threat by releasing a 1.8TB archive of the data online.

Logitech has stated that upon detecting the incident, the company promptly launched an investigation and response effort with the assistance of leading external cybersecurity firms. The company has declined to provide any additional comments on the matter.
