Summary
- Dolby Atmos FlexConnect allows speaker placement freedom.
- LG's Sound Suite offers customizable home theater setups.
- The H7 soundbar is the system's primary component.

LG's new Sound Suite aims to revolutionize home theater with Dolby Atmos FlexConnect (DAFC) technology, enabling speakers to be positioned freely without impacting audio performance. This system includes the H7 soundbar ($1,000), W7 subwoofer ($600), and M5/M7 speakers ($250-$400), allowing users to create personalized setups. The DAFC technology requires a lead device, either the H7 soundbar or a compatible LG TV from 2025 or 2026 models, as it utilizes LG's alpha 11 Gen 3 AI processor.
The system offers versatile configurations, supporting up to four speakers and one subwoofer. However, recalibration is needed when adding or removing speakers from a DAFC group. Despite some initial connectivity and software issues encountered during setup, the Sound Suite delivers an immersive audio experience, particularly for movies and TV shows. LG's ThinQ app manages the setup, though on-screen TV integration provides a more reliable experience. Alternatives include TCL's Z100 speakers and Samsung's Q990 series, though they lack LG's specific FlexConnect implementation.
