LG has announced the pricing and availability of its Micro RGB evo, a significant advancement in display technology. Pre-orders are now open, with the 75-inch model starting at $5,000. This new TV builds upon LG's Mini LED expertise, introducing a novel Micro RGB panel.
The Micro RGB evo is powered by LG's Alpha A11 AI processor and features the 'Micro RGB Engine' for precise LED control. It boasts full DCI-P3, BT.2020, and Adobe RGB gamut coverage, alongside over a thousand dimming zones for superior contrast and detail.
This new display technology utilizes individual red, green, and blue LEDs, differentiating it from traditional Mini LED and OLED panels. While promising better color representation than OLED, its initial cost is higher than some existing OLED and QD-OLED options. The LG Micro RGB evo is offered in 75, 86, and 100-inch sizes.
