LG is set to introduce its H7 soundbar, powered by the Alpha 11 Gen 3 chip, incorporating Dolby Atmos FlexConnect technology. This soundbar is a core component of the upcoming LG Sound Suite, a modular home audio system designed for a customizable listening experience. The suite also includes M5 and M7 surround speakers and a W7 subwoofer, all featuring Peerless Audio components.
The H7 soundbar offers significant advantages over earlier FlexConnect versions, notably removing the need for a compatible TV and supporting a more expansive system. Users can connect the soundbar with up to four surround speakers and a subwoofer, potentially creating a 13.1.7-channel audio setup. LG states there are 27 possible speaker configurations, ranging from simple stereo pairs to the full immersive system.
LG's implementation also includes 'Sound Follow' technology, utilizing ultra-wideband to dynamically adjust the audio's sweet spot based on the listener's position. While calibration is quick and automatic, the company plans to allow for further customization after setup. The H7 soundbar will be demonstrated at CES 2026, with reviews expected upon its market release.
