- Despite its lightness, the Gram Pro offers a durable build with minimal flex.

LG introduced a major redesign for its Gram laptop line at CES 2026 with the new Gram Pro models. These laptops utilize an innovative aluminum/magnesium alloy named 'Aerominum,' addressing past concerns about case flex while maintaining an exceptionally light profile. The 16-inch Gram Pro weighs just 2.6 pounds, astonishingly light for its size and power, and demonstrates improved structural integrity.
While the exterior boasts a new alloy and a large 2.8K OLED display, the interior is powered by Intel's latest Panther Lake chips with support for dual NVMe SSDs. Although LG focused on case design, the keyboard offers minimal key travel, and the trackpad is functional but not class-leading. The 17-inch Gram Pro, also featuring the Aerominum case, is noted as the lightest notebook in its size class with an NVIDIA RTX 5050 GPU.
