Amazon is offering the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook for $299, a 40% discount from its typical $499 price. This device features a 14-inch FHD touchscreen, MediaTek Kompanio 520 processor, 4GB RAM, and 128GB storage, running Chrome OS with updates guaranteed through June 2032. The integrated 7-in-1 hub provides HDMI 4K output, USB-C, and USB-A ports, expanding its functionality significantly.
This Lenovo Chromebook positions itself as a superior value compared to the $329 base iPad. While the iPad has a 10.9-inch screen, it lacks a keyboard, trackpad, and essential ports. To achieve comparable laptop functionality, the iPad requires a $249 Magic Keyboard. The Chromebook, at a lower price point, includes these essentials along with a 13-hour battery life and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.
