Ayaneo's Konkr brand has introduced the Pocket Block, a new miniature gaming handheld that pays homage to the classic Game Boy. This device is available for preorder starting at $79, significantly lowering the entry price for Ayaneo's gaming hardware.
The Pocket Block features a vertical design with a 3.3-inch LCD screen that offers a 960 x 720 resolution and a 4:3 aspect ratio, ideal for emulating retro games. Its internal MTK Helio G85 chip is capable of running titles up to PlayStation and Nintendo 64.
This handheld comes equipped with a 3.5mm audio jack, a microSD slot for expanded storage, a USB-C port, and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth. Ayaneo has also indicated it is an "AI handheld," though specific AI features remain undisclosed. Shipping is anticipated by the end of October.
The 2GB RAM/32GB storage model, in gray, costs $79. A higher-spec version with 3GB RAM/64GB storage is available in gray, purple, and white starting at $99.
