Kingston has launched the IronKey Locker+ 50 G2, a secure USB drive featuring XTS-AES 256-bit hardware encryption. This device is FIPS 197 certified, aligning with critical government and enterprise compliance needs. It incorporates digitally signed firmware to mitigate BadUSB attack risks.
The Locker+ 50 G2 includes layered security measures, such as protection against brute-force password attempts. It supports diverse password modes, allowing for both complex character strings and memorable passphrases, balancing security with user convenience. Administrators can reset user credentials for recovery, and a visible password toggle helps reduce authentication errors.
Additional features include a virtual keyboard to thwart keyloggers and screen capture tools. The drive utilizes a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface, offering read speeds up to 145 MB/s and write speeds up to 115 MB/s.
