Summary
- Voters can check if their names are on local body electoral rolls
- Search by voter ID, old SEC ID, or new 9-digit SEC ID
- Complaints about duplicate entries can be reported to electoral officers

According to the announcement made by the Kerala State Election Commission (SEC) on October 4, 2025, voters in the state can now check if their names are included in the local body electoral rolls through the SEC's official website.
The process is straightforward - by clicking on the 'Voter Search' option on the website (www.sec.kerala.gov.in), individuals can verify their details at the state, local body, and ward levels. The search can be conducted using the voter's name and Election Commission of India's voter ID card number (EPIC), with both the old and new versions of the EPIC number being accepted.
Voters can also search using their old SEC ID number or the new nine-digit SEC ID number. For state-level searches, users must select the 'Voter Services' tab on the website, after which the option to search state-wise will appear. At the local body and ward levels, users can enter the district name, local body name, voter's name, EPIC number, or SEC ID to verify the details.
The SEC has stressed that the details entered, particularly the voter's name and EPIC number, must exactly match those provided in the application for the search to be successful. If anyone has complaints regarding duplicate entries in the voter list, they may report the matter to the electoral registration officer concerned.
