JBL Xtreme 5: Massive Bass, Massive Price Tag

The JBL Xtreme 5 has arrived, solidifying its reputation as a top-tier Bluetooth speaker, especially for those prioritizing powerful bass. This device offers an enhanced 28-hour battery life, a significant upgrade from its predecessor, ensuring extended listening sessions. Its rugged design now includes an IP68 rating, providing superior dust and waterproof protection, and it's even certified as dropproof, suggesting remarkable durability.

Despite its impressive features, the JBL Xtreme 5 comes with a substantial $399 price tag in the U.S., making it a considerable investment. While it delivers exceptional sound quality with deep bass and clear mids/highs, more affordable alternatives like the Tribit StormBox Blast 2 offer comparable loudness. The speaker also integrates Bluetooth 6.0 for enhanced range and reliability, alongside USB-C lossless audio and customizable EQ settings via the JBL Portable app.
