Summary
- JBL Junior 320 headphones offer surprising sound quality for their $20 price.
- They feature a secure 85dB volume cap to protect children's hearing.
- Despite a simple build, they are deemed durable for young users.
For parents seeking affordable audio gear for children, the JBL Junior 320 wired headphones present a compelling option at $20. These headphones are noted for their surprisingly good sound quality, exceeding expectations for their low price point. They feature a vital 85-decibel (dB) volume cap, ensuring young ears are protected from potentially damaging noise levels during extended listening sessions.
The construction relies on a hard plastic shell, and while the included carrying bag proved less durable, the headphones themselves are considered robust enough for typical child usage. The wired connection, utilizing a 3.5mm jack, eliminates the need for charging and offers a reliable link to most portable devices, though it may not suit newer gadgets lacking this port.
Children found the headphones lightweight and comfortable, with the wired aspect being a preferred feature. The sound, while not audiophile-grade, is deemed clear and sufficient for entertainment like music and shows. The JBL Junior 320s prioritize essential features like volume limitation and durability over premium enhancements, making them a practical and budget-friendly choice.
