Summary
- IPVanish finished a two-year network rebuild focused on faster ports.
- The upgrade incorporates direct peering and dual data centers.
- Users can expect a 41% speed boost during peak usage times.

IPVanish has completed a significant two-year network overhaul, prioritizing infrastructure improvements over simply increasing server numbers. The company's strategy centers on faster hardware, smarter peering arrangements, enhanced redundancy, and optimized software.
Key upgrades include transitioning the entire network to 50Gbps server ports, a substantial increase from the previous 10Gbps capacity. This provides greater headroom to manage traffic efficiently during peak usage periods. Additionally, IPVanish has enhanced its peering capabilities by connecting directly at over 40 internet exchanges worldwide.
Further bolstering reliability, IPVanish now operates dual, independent data centers in every major city, ensuring continued service even if one experiences an outage. The network spans 150 locations across 55 countries. A switch to NFTables for traffic processing and the recent addition of OpenVPN Data Channel Offload on Windows are also expected to improve performance and efficiency.
