Apple has announced that the upcoming iPhone Duo will support the Apple Pencil. This functionality will be enabled through an iOS software update scheduled for release later this year, likely around November. Initially, only the Apple Pencil USB-C model will be compatible with the iPhone Duo. Owners of the Apple Pencil 2 or Pro will unfortunately not be able to use their styluses with the device.

Pairing and charging the Apple Pencil on the iPhone Duo will require a physical USB-C cable connection. This is due to the iPhone's lack of magnetic attachment and charging capabilities, unlike compatible iPads. The stylus will function with both the main unfolded screen and the outer display of the iPhone Duo, offering versatility for note-taking and drawing.
