- Siri AI will gain expanded capabilities across multiple Apple operating systems.
- Third-party developers can now integrate their apps with Siri AI.
The recent iOS 27.3 developer beta introduces a key feature for the iPhone Duo: Reachability. This update allows users to swipe from the screen edges to bring content within easier reach, improving one-handed usability on both the outer and inner displays. This addresses previous criticisms regarding the taskbar's placement.
Furthermore, iOS 27.3 significantly expands the capabilities of Siri AI. The intelligent assistant will now be more deeply integrated across iOS, macOS, iPadOS, and visionOS. Users can expect Siri AI to assist with tasks within applications like Music, Messages, Photos, Calendar, and Reminders.
Apple is also empowering third-party developers by opening up Siri AI through App Intents. This move allows external applications to leverage Siri AI's advanced features, including understanding personal context and on-screen awareness. This initiative aims to deliver on Apple's promise of a truly helpful, context-aware AI assistant that can operate across a user's entire app ecosystem.
