17 Sep
Summary
- Siri AI now supports French, Japanese, and Spanish in beta.
- FaceTime allows simultaneous front and rear camera use.
- Apple TV profiles and Multiview for sports added.

Apple has launched the initial developer beta for iOS 27.2, a follow-up to the recent iOS 27 release. This beta version brings significant enhancements, notably extending Siri AI capabilities to French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish, fulfilling a previous company commitment.
FaceTime users can now engage in calls using both front and rear cameras concurrently, facilitating better group interactions, provided all participants are on iOS 27 or later. The Podcasts app sees improvements with new rows on the Home tab for tracking new episodes and ongoing listening.
Further updates include the addition of TV Profiles within the Apple TV app, allowing for personalized content recommendations and protection against unwanted shows. Additionally, Apple TV Multiview is now available on iOS, enabling subscribers to watch up to four live sports streams simultaneously, such as Major League Soccer and Formula 1 events.
The Health app also features a redesigned interface in this beta, although its public launch is slated for later this year. Developers can test these features now, with more betas anticipated before the official public release of iOS 27.2, expected in October.
