iPhone Camera Gets Major Upgrade: iOS 27 Overhaul

Apple's upcoming iOS 27 is set to introduce a significant overhaul to the iPhone's Camera app, aiming for greater user customization. Reports indicate that users will be able to personalize the app's interface, swapping default widgets for preferred controls such as resolution and flash settings. The update also promises more advanced options like depth-of-field and exposure adjustments, alongside new grid and level features to aid in capturing superior images.

Furthermore, iOS 27 will deeply integrate Artificial Intelligence into the camera experience. A new Siri mode within the Camera app will reportedly enable AI-powered features, including image search and text translation. AI will also drive new photo editing tools, enhancing the creative capabilities available to users. These advancements signal Apple's commitment to leveraging AI across its operating system.

Beyond the camera, Siri itself is receiving substantial upgrades. The AI assistant is expected to become more intelligent, with its visual animation moving to the Dynamic Island. A new "Search or Ask" interface will replace Spotlight Search, offering card-like results and a chat interface for direct interaction, with web result integration and voice input support. Past Siri conversations will also be accessible in a dedicated Siri app, streamlining user access to information and assistance.
