iOS 27 Beta: Safari Gets Major Upgrades Back

The iOS 27 public beta has provided a remarkably stable and improved user experience, even for those who typically wait for the full release. Early testers report that the operating system feels faster, even in Low Power Mode, and that Siri's AI capabilities have seen substantial advancements. Welcome changes are also evident in the Safari browser, addressing long-standing user frustrations.

The Safari browser in iOS 27 introduces several highly anticipated improvements. The All Tabs icon, previously removed, makes a triumphant return to the Compact toolbar, replacing the less intuitive three-dot menu. This change allows for more direct access to manage open browser tabs. Furthermore, the Bookmarks icon is now readily accessible when a new tab is opened, alongside Reading List and History icons.

Beyond usability enhancements, Safari in iOS 27 now offers automatic tab organization. Users can access this feature through the All Tabs view, where tabs are helpfully filtered and displayed by category. This function is especially useful for managing a large number of open tabs. These thoughtful updates suggest Apple has actively responded to user feedback, improving the overall iPhone browsing experience.
