This beta update includes visual enhancements, such as new icons for major applications like Safari, Siri, and the App Store, alongside minor Liquid Glass-related adjustments for other apps.
AI advancements for Siri are a key feature in this beta, offering users more control over voice customization. Both American and British English voices now allow for adjustments in pace and expressivity. Additionally, the Contacts app will now display a company name associated with a contact under their name and in search results.
Users will also find increased control over the iPhone's Search function. The beta allows users to choose whether app results appear in Search and to specify whether four or eight apps are displayed. A new 'Search the Web' option is also available at the bottom of search results, and Software Update will indicate the last installed update time.
Most notably, iOS 27 beta 5 contains references to six unreleased iPhone models, designated as V62 through V64 and V67 through V69. This discovery serves as the strongest confirmation to date of the rumored iPhone 18 lineup, potentially including models like the iPhone Air 2 and iPhone 18 Pro variants.
