14 Oct
Summary
- Loti AI and CMG Worldwide partner to protect estates of late celebrities
- Deal covers 20+ icons including Judy Garland, Jimmy Stewart, Burt Reynolds
- Aims to prevent unauthorized digital use and manipulation of likenesses

On October 11th, 2025, it was announced that Loti AI, a deepfake detection firm, has formed a landmark partnership with IP management company CMG Worldwide to protect the likenesses and legacies of several late celebrities. The deal covers the estates of over 20 iconic figures, including Judy Garland, Jimmy Stewart, Burt Reynolds, Christopher Reeve, and John Wayne, among others.
The partnership comes amid growing concerns in the entertainment industry over the rise of AI tools like OpenAI's Sora 2, which allow users to create clips using copyrighted IP. Loti AI's advanced technology and services will now serve to continuously monitor, detect, and take down any unauthorized reproductions or impersonations of CMG's clients' images and voices across digital platforms.
