Summary
- Magic 8 Pro boasts a 200MP telephoto lens for exceptional zoom capabilities.
- The flagship offers a massive 7,100mAh (global) battery for multi-day use.
- Honor promises seven years of software support for European users.
Honor's new Magic 8 Pro flagship, released in China in October and now hitting Europe, aims to compete with elite smartphones. While not definitively best-in-class, its camera system, featuring a 50MP main, 50MP ultrawide, and a standout 200MP telephoto lens, is Honor's closest yet to top-tier performance, excelling in dynamic range and color accuracy.
The device distinguishes itself with a colossal battery, boasting a 7,100mAh capacity in the global version (6,270mAh in Europe), easily providing two days of use. This, combined with a premium Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a vibrant 120Hz OLED display, positions it as a powerful all-around performer.
Honor enhances user experience with a dedicated AI button and commits to an impressive seven years of software support in Europe, shipping with Android 16. Despite minor design and software quibbles, the Magic 8 Pro represents Honor's strongest challenge to date in the premium smartphone arena.
