Hiyd aims to merge fashion with function by offering an invisible health tracking solution. The company's first product is a small, slim disc that adheres to the back of a watch using microsuction, a residue-free technology. This sensor collects key biometrics such as heart rate, sleep stages, and VO2 max estimations, syncing data to a mobile app. The AI within the app is being trained by the Hiyd team to provide personalized insights, even correlating nutrition with sleep quality and workout performance.
Salah Batroukh, a former manufacturing design engineer at Apple, founded Hiyd with the vision of creating customer-centric products. He is joined by co-founders Omar Shakir and Mahamad Charawi. The startup is set to compete at TechCrunch Disrupt and plans a Kickstarter campaign in November. Over 16,000 individuals have already placed deposits to secure early units of Hiyd's innovative device.
