Curry's Wristband: Google's Secret Health Wearable?

Google has dropped a hint about a forthcoming wearable device, showcased on the wrist of NBA star and Google performance advisor Steph Curry. A 15-second clip revealed Curry wearing a gray wristband with neon orange accents, notably lacking a screen. This design brings to mind devices like the Whoop wearable, which tracks health metrics without a display.

This potential new product from Google could focus on monitoring sleep, stress, and recovery by tracking metrics such as heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and skin temperature. Curry voiced his enthusiasm for the "first of its kind" innovation in health and wellness, stating, "You're going to have to see it for yourself." Google confirmed a "special" creation is being developed.

The new wearable is expected to differentiate itself from Google's existing wearables, including Pixel smartwatches and Fitbit models. Curry's role as a performance advisor began in August 2025, where he assists Google in training algorithms and designing new products, leveraging AI from Google Cloud. It is highly anticipated that AI will be a core feature of this upcoming device.
