Summary
- Dreambeans uses Google AI to generate daily illustrated stories.
- The app synthesizes data from Gmail, Calendar, Photos, and YouTube.
- Personal Intelligence feature allows Gemini to access your Google data.

Google Labs has launched Dreambeans, an innovative application that generates personalized illustrated daily stories by leveraging your interests and Google's vast data reserves. The app, available on Android and iOS, requires user permission to access information from Gmail, Calendar, Photos, and YouTube history.
Each morning, Dreambeans "dreams" to produce a fresh batch of AI-generated stories, known as "beans," complete with imagery created by Google's Nano Banana 2 image generator. This personalization is powered by the Personal Intelligence feature, allowing Google Gemini to draw data from your entire Google ecosystem, such as calendar appointments and emails.
Initially launched in June for Google AI Ultra subscribers at $99.99 per month, followed by AI Pro subscribers in early August at $19.99 per month, Dreambeans offers a unique way to engage with AI-generated content. Users can provide feedback on stories via a "thumbs down" button and subsequent chat, influencing future recommendations.
Google Labs continues to pioneer advanced AI products. Gemini Notebook, available since May 2025, enables text-to-podcast generation, while Flow, released in January 2026, offers AI-assisted video and image creation and editing tools.
