Summary
- Google AI Plus plan now costs $5 monthly, down from $8.
- The subscription now includes 400GB of storage, double the previous 200GB.
- New benefits include AI email tools and Daily Brief agent.
Google has lowered the monthly cost of its AI Plus subscription to $5, a decrease from its previous $8 price point. This adjustment aims to increase accessibility to its advanced Gemini AI models. The plan also now offers double the storage capacity, providing users with 400GB instead of the previous 200GB.
Introduced in January 2026, the AI Plus plan was initially designed as a more affordable option for accessing Gemini 3 Pro, Nano Banana Pro, and Deep Research models. These features were previously part of a more expensive plan, with the Plus tier offering a lower price in exchange for stricter usage limits.
With the recent Google I/O 2026 concluded, the AI Plus plan now includes additional benefits. These enhancements feature AI-driven email tools and a new Daily Brief agent that can summarize the user's upcoming day within the Gemini app. Furthermore, subscribers gain access to Gemini Omni, Google's latest AI model for generating video from various inputs.
