Genesis revealed its all-new flagship SUV, the GV90, including the groundbreaking GV90 Neolun variant, in San Francisco on Wednesday evening. This full-size SUV is built on a bespoke electric platform and features Hyundai Motor Group's largest battery yet, a 123.5 kWh unit. The GV90 Neolun distinguishes itself with its "Neolun Arch Gate" coach doors, offering a unique pillarless, independently opening entry system.
Inside, the GV90 Neolun's cabin transforms into a lounge space. Motorized front bucket seats rotate 180 degrees, enabling face-to-face interaction when parked or charging. The vehicle's structural rigidity and a dual-motion hinge mechanism facilitate the innovative door design. The SUV is powered by a dual-motor AWD system producing 657 horsepower and features advanced suspension and steering systems for enhanced driving dynamics.
The GV90 is the first HMG vehicle to eliminate the start button, with the car waking upon door handle contact. It sports a 23.6-inch OLED Cinematic Display that can extend for multimedia viewing, complemented by a 25-inch head-up display. Pricing is expected to start above $100,000, with the Neolun variant reaching up to $150,000, positioning it as a high-end luxury electric SUV.
