Gemini Chatbot Expands to Asia-Pacific

Google is significantly expanding the availability of Gemini within its Chrome browser. Users in Australia, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Vietnam can now access this integrated chatbot. This latest rollout extends the service beyond its initial availability in Canada, India, and New Zealand.
The Gemini in Chrome feature can be accessed via the desktop browser and mobile applications for both iPhones and iPads, with the exception of Japan where iOS access is not yet available. Users initiate interaction by tapping the 'Ask Gemini' icon, which opens a sidebar for chatting across all open tabs. The suite also includes an image generator and integrates with Google Calendar for event management.
