The Galaxy Watch 9, starting at $380, features a new processor and an improved battery life, aiming to offer a significant upgrade over its predecessors. It is available in 40mm and 44mm sizes, with Bluetooth models priced from $380 and LTE cellular versions reaching up to $460.

The Apple Watch Series 11, an Editors' Choice Award winner, begins at $399 for its aluminum 42mm GPS model, with cellular versions costing $499. Larger 46mm aluminum models are slightly more expensive. Titanium versions of the Apple Watch Series 11 command a higher price, starting at $699. For budget-conscious consumers, the Apple Watch SE 3 is available from $249.

In terms of design, the Galaxy Watch 9 features a circular screen on a squircle base, while the Apple Watch Series 11 maintains its signature rounded-rectangle shape. Both offer slim profiles and lightweight designs. Screen technology varies, with the Galaxy Watch 9 using a Super AMOLED display and the Apple Watch Series 11 employing an LTP03 OLED Retina display.

Battery performance sees Samsung's Watch 9 offering up to 40 hours without the always-on display, while the Apple Watch Series 11 provides up to 24 hours, extendable to 38 hours in Low Power mode. Both support fast charging. Connectivity-wise, the Galaxy Watch 9 utilizes Bluetooth 6.0 and 4G LTE, whereas the Apple Watch Series 11 uses Bluetooth 5.3 and includes a more power-efficient 5G radio in its cellular models.

Fitness tracking is robust on both devices, including heart rate, respiratory rate, and wrist temperature monitoring. The Galaxy Watch 9 includes blood pressure monitoring capabilities and a new Fitness Index. The Apple Watch Series 11 also offers advanced health alerts and a motivational workout coach.
