Summary
- One UI 9.5 beta firmware for Galaxy S26 Ultra is on Samsung servers.
- Beta registration is expected to open soon, mirroring previous updates.
- Availability is limited to specific countries and unlocked phones.

Samsung has placed beta firmware for One UI 9.5, based on Android 17, on its Korean and US servers, signaling an upcoming beta program for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. This development precedes the official announcement and beta registration. Last year, the One UI 8.5 beta launched on December 8, 2025, for the Galaxy S25 series, with a stable release for the Galaxy S26 in February 2026.
The One UI 9.5 beta is expected to follow a similar pattern, potentially opening for registration in November or December, ahead of the Galaxy S27's anticipated early 2027 release. The beta will be accessible in select countries including Germany, India, Poland, South Korea, the UK, and the US. Crucially, users with carrier-locked Galaxy S26 models may be excluded, as was the case with the One UI 8.5 beta in the US.
Users can sign up via the Samsung Members app, provided they have a Samsung account and an eligible, unlocked device in a supported country. Before installing, it is strongly advised to back up all data using Smart Switch and update existing applications. Bugs encountered during the beta phase can be reported through the Samsung Members app. Exiting the beta requires a factory reset via Smart Switch on a computer.
