10 Jul
Summary
- Fregat upper stage transported via AN-124-100 aircraft.
- Unit to undergo further evaluation at assembly and testing facility.
- Fregat enables efficient spacecraft deployment into various orbits.
The Fregat upper stage has been airlifted to the Vostochny spaceport, marking a significant step in its preparation for future space missions. An AN-124-100 aircraft successfully delivered the Fregat to Vostochny's airport, from where it will be moved to the spacecraft assembly and testing facility.
At the facility, the Fregat will be installed at its designated workstation for comprehensive testing and evaluation. This upper stage is critically important for medium-class launch vehicles, facilitating the precise deployment of one or more spacecraft into various low-Earth orbits and specific departure trajectories.
