On November 18th, 2025, the popular battle royale game Fortnite will be made available on the Xbox app for PC. This move allows players to access the game through the Xbox ecosystem, in addition to the current option of launching it from the Epic Games Launcher.
Furthermore, Fortnite is joining the Xbox Play Anywhere program, which means that players' progress and purchases will seamlessly follow them across Xbox consoles, PC, and supported gaming handhelds. This feature could make it easier for gamers to continue their Fortnite experience on the go, using devices like the Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X.
Alongside the Xbox app integration, Microsoft has announced that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will receive the Fortnite Crew subscription as an additional perk starting on November 18th. The Fortnite Crew subscription provides users with a new in-game skin and 1,000 V-Bucks (the game's virtual currency) every month, as well as access to all of Fortnite's various battle passes.
