Images of Google's upcoming Fitbit Edge fitness tracker have surfaced, suggesting a device that melds features from the Pixel Watch and Fitbit Air. Positioned as a successor to the midrange Charge line, the Edge appears to feature a smaller screen suitable for widgets but not a full smartwatch display.
This new wearable is expected to prioritize fitness, boasting an impressive seven-day battery life, integrated GPS, and an altimeter. It will also support limited applications such as Google Maps and YouTube Music. The Fitbit Charge series, last updated in 2023, is overdue for a refresh, making the Edge a significant upcoming release.
While official pricing and release dates remain unannounced, the Fitbit Edge is anticipated to fall within the $150 to $200 price bracket. This places it squarely between the $99.99 Fitbit Air and the $399.99 Pixel Watch, with the current Charge 6 priced at $159.95.
