12 Feb
Summary
- ExpressVPN secured four new ISO certifications, enhancing its security framework.
- The company's latest transparency report shows zero data shared with authorities.
- Over 1.38 million DMCA requests were received, with no user data disclosed.

ExpressVPN has reinforced its commitment to data security and user privacy by achieving four new International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certifications. These certifications, along with an updated transparency report, underscore the company's dedication to maintaining a robust trust framework.
These ISO certifications validate ExpressVPN's methodologies and security standards, complementing its already extensive audit history. The company's parent, Kape Technologies, also received certifications. ExpressVPN aims for further standardization in 2026, pursuing ISO/IEC 27701 for data handling and ISO 22301 for business continuity.
The latest transparency report, covering the latter half of 2025, details a significant decrease in government requests. ExpressVPN received 155 requests and three warrants, but confirmed no user data was handed over. Despite this, DMCA requests saw an increase to 1.38 million, yet these also did not result in data disclosure due to the VPN's strict no-logs and RAM-only server policies.
