ARC Raiders Unlocks Icy Stella Montis Map in North Line Update

On November 13, Embark Studios will release the highly anticipated North Line update for their extraction shooter, ARC Raiders. This update marks a significant milestone for the game, which launched just two weeks ago.
The highlight of the North Line update is the addition of a brand-new map called Stella Montis, located north of the Rust Belt. However, players will not be able to access this region immediately. Instead, they must first participate in the "Breaking New Ground" event, a global community effort to restore the tunnels leading to Stella Montis. This event begins on November 13 and involves players donating materials such as metal parts, fabric, chemicals, rubber, and plastic to meet global milestones. Once these goals are achieved, the Stella Montis region will be unlocked, allowing players to explore the icy northern area and take on new quests.
In addition to the new map, the North Line update introduces two new ARC enemies: the Matriarch and the Shredder. The Matriarch will appear under certain map conditions, while the Shredder can only be found in the Stella Montis region. Players will also gain access to a variety of new weapons and gameplay items, including the Energy Burst Battle Rifle, Aphelion Rifle, Trailblazer Grenade, Seeker Grenade, Pulse Mine, Deadline Mine, and Gas Mine.
The North Line update is the first step in Embark Studios' 2025 content roadmap for ARC Raiders, with the Cold Snap update scheduled for release in December. These updates reflect the developer's commitment to delivering ongoing changes without the rigid seasonal frameworks often seen in live-service games.
