Further bolstering European space ambitions, ESA is proposing an annual investment of €1 billion for ten years, starting in 2029, to enhance autonomy in the sector. This initiative aims to enable Europe to launch its own astronauts in the future.
During the summit, French President Emmanuel Macron advocated for increased European coordination and public procurement directed towards European companies, while also leaving room for potential partnerships with foreign firms.
