On November 15, 2025, the long-awaited Escape from Tarkov 1.0 is finally set to launch worldwide. The extraction shooter, which has been in an eight-year beta, will make its full debut through the Battlestate Games client as well as on Steam.
For those planning to play on Steam, the only downside is that they'll need to purchase the game again to access the full suite of Valve integrations, including friends list synchronization, achievements, and Steam profile activity tracking. However, players who don't mind sticking with the Battlestate client can continue using their existing accounts and characters.
Regardless of the platform, Escape from Tarkov fans can now begin preloading the game, which is over 33 GB in size without the launch day patches. These additional updates will be required when the servers go live, ensuring players are ready to jump into the action as soon as the game unlocks.
