EasySMX Lite: First to Wake Switch 2 Natively
8 Mar
Summary
- The controller offers native Switch 2 support for remote waking.
- It allows OS-level configuration of rear paddles.
- Lacks amiibo support but simplifies connectivity and customization.

The EasySMX S10 Lite is emerging as a significant contender in the Switch 2 controller market, being the first third-party gamepad to offer native support for the console's system-level functions. This allows the controller to remotely wake the Switch 2 by pressing the Home button, a feature previously exclusive to Nintendo's first-party controllers. This native integration also enables the OS-level configuration of the S10 Lite's rear paddles, a capability unique among non-Nintendo controllers and offering per-game mapping memory.
While the S10 Lite introduces substantial convenience with its direct console integration, it does make compromises. It omits amiibo support and features rumble technology that, while functional, is not as refined as that found in the more premium EasySMX S10. Additionally, it utilizes Hall effect sticks instead of the TMR sticks present in the S10. Despite these omissions, the controller is compatible with the original Switch, though its advanced features are exclusive to the Switch 2. Priced at $39.99, the S10 Lite prioritizes streamlined connectivity and simpler customization.
