Dyson has introduced the CameraJet, a revolutionary toothbrush featuring an AI-powered camera. This technology, called Gap Optical Targeting, analyzes 28 images per second to identify gaps between teeth. Upon detection, a jet releases mouthrinse to floss these areas automatically.
Developed in collaboration with the National University of Singapore, the CameraJet employs a conical jet for gentle yet effective plaque removal. It includes a 12.5-ml anti-gravity tank, ensuring the rinse can be delivered in any orientation without air pockets.
The $499 CameraJet connects via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, allowing users to view a live camera feed and track their cleaning progress through a dedicated app. The device comes with dual-bristle brush heads featuring RFID tags to monitor usage and prompt replacements.
Each brush head also incorporates a sonic dampener for reduced noise and variable sonic oscillation to enhance plaque removal in difficult spots. A sensitive-bristled option is available. The toothbrush is available in ceramic ultra blue and ceramic pink.
To optimize performance, users are advised to use clear, SLS-free mouthwash and toothpaste. Dyson plans to release its own proprietary non-foaming toothpaste and low-foaming mouthrinse soon.
