DJI has introduced the RS 5, the latest addition to its Ronan Series camera gimbals. This lightweight device, weighing around three pounds, supports a payload of nearly seven pounds and is designed for a wide range of mirrorless cameras and lenses.
The new gimbal incorporates DJI's "enhanced intelligent subject tracking," allowing users to frame live footage and follow subjects directly from an included touchscreen, eliminating the need to adjust the camera itself. This advanced tracking extends beyond people to include pets, vehicles, and other objects, while also maintaining a locked focus on human subjects up to 10 meters away.
Equipped with DJI's latest stabilization algorithm, the RS 5 enables complex camera movements like surround shots and reverse tracking. It is also well-suited for capturing footage while in motion, such as walking or running. The gimbal can switch to vertical shooting without extra accessories and includes a briefcase handle for unique shooting angles.
