Meta has announced that the Disney+ streaming service is now accessible on its Quest VR headsets for users in the United States. This rollout follows an earlier reveal at Meta's Connect event.
The integration brings Disney+'s extensive library into the virtual reality space, enhanced by Meta's recent Horizon TV platform update. This update introduces support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, allowing subscribers to enjoy select titles in Dolby Vision 4K HDR and Dolby Atmos Sound, depending on their subscription tier.
While the app is available now on the latest Horizon OS version, its availability is currently restricted to the US. However, Meta has confirmed that plans are in motion to expand Disney+ access to international markets in the near future.
