Digg Reborn: AI News Aggregator Takes Flight
12 May
Summary
- Digg relaunched as an AI news aggregator.
- It follows 1,000 AI researchers and influencers.
- Previous launch in January was hindered by spammers.

Digg has returned, this time as a dedicated aggregator for artificial intelligence news. CEO Kevin Rose stated the platform's purpose is to "find signal" amidst the internet's increasing noise, with AI being the initial focus due to its rapid evolution.
The website, currently live at di.gg in alpha, monitors 1,000 key figures in AI research, investment, and media. This curated list is built from an existing social graph and includes prominent individuals like Sam Altman and Elon Musk.
This relaunch follows a brief open beta in January that was quickly undermined by SEO spammers. The company cited an inability to combat bot activity at scale, which compromised the integrity of votes and comments.
Kevin Rose, who recently rejoined Digg full-time and is now CEO, had previously planned the comeback in partnership with Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, aiming to restore the site's "spirit of discovery."
