While the Corsair One i600 is a powerful machine, upgrading or repairing it is a significant challenge. Due to the compact 21-liter case, all components are tightly packed, making it difficult to access or replace the parts inside. The dual AIO cooling system further complicates the upgrade process, especially for the liquid-cooled graphics card.
Accessing the Corsair One's internal components requires removing the side panel, which involves using a screwdriver. Once inside, users can upgrade the RAM kit or add an NVMe or SATA SSD. However, upgrading the motherboard or GPU is more complex due to the tight chassis.
The article notes that the AMD-based Corsair One A600 model would allow for CPU upgrades, as AMD tends to keep its processor sockets for longer periods. Unfortunately, the Intel-based i600 model is limited to future "Arrow Lake Refresh" CPUs, as Intel is expected to change sockets for its "Nova Lake" generation, expected in late 2026 or early 2027.
Despite these upgrade challenges, the Corsair One i600 is a powerful gaming PC that should be capable of lasting a few generations before a full system replacement is necessary.
