Claude AI's Voice Mode Goes Multilingual!

Anthropic has announced a substantial enhancement to its Claude AI's voice mode, introducing multilingual capabilities and deeper integration with third-party tools. This update allows users to converse with Claude in a variety of languages, including English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish variants. The voice mode now also enables direct interaction with connected applications like Gmail, Google Calendar, and Slack. Users can leverage this feature to perform actions such as postponing meetings or drafting email responses through voice commands, making AI more agentic and conversational.

These new voice capabilities are powered by advanced models, including Claude Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku, offering improved performance and deeper conversational depth compared to previous versions. Users now have the flexibility to switch between AI models and from voice to text within a single conversation without restarting. The update is available in beta for all users across mobile, desktop, and web interfaces. While free users have some limitations, paid users gain full access to all models and connected tools, with all usage counting towards standard limits.
