Show, Don't Tell: Claude's Screen Recording AI Update
22 Jul
Summary
- Claude now records screen and voice to learn tasks.
- New feature is available on Max, Pro, and Team subscriptions.
- Users can create repeatable skills from demonstrations.

Anthropic has introduced a significant update for Claude subscribers, enabling users to teach the AI chatbot by demonstrating workflows through screen recordings and voiceovers. This new feature, accessible via Claude's Cowork tools, allows users to record their actions, clicks, and verbal explanations.
Claude then processes this demonstration to create a "repeatable skill," designed to automate repetitive work tasks without the need for detailed written prompts. For instance, users can show Claude how to compile data for a regular report, and the AI will learn to perform this task automatically.
The "Record a skill" option is currently exclusive to Max, Pro, and Team subscription tiers, with no indication of availability for free users. Early reports suggest the feature became accessible shortly after its announcement on Tuesday. Specific usage limits are yet to be confirmed, though one user reported a five-hour cooldown period on a Pro subscription.
Additionally, Anthropic has rolled out an iOS app-testing feature for its Claude Code Mac application, allowing developers to simulate app performance on virtual iPhones and iPads.
