The developers, a team of Gen-Z creators, have been inundated with investor interest, reportedly receiving offers for significant stakes in their parent company, Moonscape Technologies. Discussions regarding fundraising are ongoing and expected to conclude soon.

In an effort to appeal to a wider international audience, the app has been officially renamed "Demumu." This rebranding, however, has met with some fan resistance, as the original blunt name was a significant factor in its viral success.
