Summary
- Charlie Puth appointed Chief Music Officer at Moises.
- Moises uses AI to help musicians, not replace them.
- Global remix competition offers $100k prize package.

Charlie Puth has been named the new Chief Music Officer (CMO) for the AI-powered music platform Moises. This newly created position will leverage Puth's expertise to provide feedback on product development and creative strategy for the Salt Lake City-based company. Puth expressed his long-standing use of Moises, highlighting its ability to enhance a musician's creative process.
Moises utilizes ethically sourced music to train its AI models, offering tools such as stem separation, mastering, and chord identification. Unlike generative AI that creates entire songs, Moises empowers users to upload their own music and generate complementary instrument parts. The company reports 70 million users globally, with 15 million joining in the current year.
To commemorate Puth's appointment, Moises has launched the "Moises Jam Session" global remix competition. Participants can remix Puth's new single, "Beat Yourself Up," with winners eligible for up to $100,000 in cash and prizes, including a meet-and-greet at his Madison Square Garden concert.
