Bose has re-entered the wired earbud market with its new Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds. These earbuds connect via a 4.2-foot USB-C cable, offering a retro listening experience. They incorporate Bose's QuietControl technology, utilizing dual microphones in each earbud to monitor and cancel ambient noise.
Users can select from three active noise cancellation (ANC) modes: Quiet Mode for maximum isolation, Aware Mode to hear surroundings, or ANC Off. The earbuds also boast support for lossless audio when connected to compatible devices, aiming for superior sound fidelity.
Control is managed through an intuitive in-line remote with physical buttons for playback, volume, calls, and ANC mode switching. A dedicated microphone on the remote enhances voice clarity during calls. The earbuds are IPX4 rated for water resistance and come with multiple eartip and wingtip sizes for a secure, customized fit. They are available for preorder at $99 in Black, White Smoke, and a limited-edition Dewdrop Mint, with shipments beginning mid-October.
