BMW India has initiated pre-bookings for the M2 xDrive Turbo Edition, a special, limited-run performance coupe. This unique model draws inspiration from the historic 1973 BMW 2002 turbo, a pioneering European series-produced turbocharged car.
The M2 xDrive Turbo Edition is exclusively finished in Alpine White, featuring distinctive hand-painted BMW Motorsport stripes and a prominent black power dome. The iconic reversed 'turbo' script graces the bonnet, complemented by a bespoke 'turbo' emblem and a carbon-fibre roof, tailgate, and rear spoiler.
Inside, the cabin is appointed with M Carbon bucket seats and an M Alcantara steering wheel, featuring carbon-fibre trim. An exclusive 'turbo' badge is integrated into the centre cupholder cover, subtly referencing its heritage.
Mechanically, the special edition is equipped with a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine that produces 480 hp. It achieves 0-100 kmph in a swift 3.7 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph, extendable to 285 kmph with the optional M Driver's Package.
